VMwareは10月16日、クラウド管理ソリューションのポートフォリオ全体にわたる新機能と機能強化を発表した。同ソリューションは、2013年第4四半期より提供開始予定となっている。

「vCloud Automation Center」

発表した製品は、「VMware vCloud Automation Center 6.0」、「VMware vCenter Operations Management Suite 5.8」、「VMware IT Business Management Suite」、「VMware vCenter Log Insight 1.5」が含まれる。また、2013年8月に発表した「VMware vCloud Suite 5.5」の自動化および管理機能のアップデートも発表した。

VMware IT Business Management Suiteのライセンスは、Standard エディションはVM単位、Advanced/Enterpriseエディションはユーザー単位で提供。VMware vCloud Automation Center 6.0とVMware vCenter Operations Management Suite 5.8は、VM単位でライセンスされるスタンドアロンのソリューションとして個別に購入可能。

VMware vSphere Data Protection Advanced 5.5は、2013年第4四半期に提供開始予定で、ライセンスは、コア、vRAM、VM数の制限なしでプロセッサごとに提供。1プロセッサあたりの市場想定価格は13万7000円から。
